EQUOTIP PICCOLO mobile hardness analyzer

The EQUOTIP PICCOLO hardness testing set is a revolutionary, new bouncing hardness measuring instrument with a patented new charge and starting mechanism - releasing the measurement and the shop for the next measurement in a motion! EQUOTIP PICCOLO continues to have the following characteristics:

  • Automatic detection and compensation of the flapping direction - highly precise into each direction
  • Large LCD announcement with high contrast - easy to read
  • Direct transformation into the usual hardness scales (HV, HB, HRC, HRB, Rm, HS); creation of customized curves is possible
  • Simple operation over 3-Button-User Interface
  • On-board diagnosis system and error examination
  • Scratch-proof aluminum housing - robust and permanent
  • Intelligent on/Standby function for optimal life span of the battery
  • Rechargeable via USB connection to PC; PC-independent battery charger is optionally available
  • Bi-directional USB communication by means of remote control
  • Internal, non volatile data storage for 2' 000 measured values, inclusive important information such as date, time and statistics data
  • Small - 145mm x 44mm x 20mm (5.71"x1.74"x0.79") only
  • Integration into automatic test plants possible
  • PICCOLINK interfaces software included free of charge
  • Simple upgrade of the firmware via internet

EQUOTIP PICCOLO measures the Leeb hardness value (HL) of the materials, which is determined from the relationship between bouncing speed and impact speed. This HL-value can be converted afterwards into standard hardness scales such as Rockwell, Brinell, Shore and Vickers. Conversion tables are used, which are integrated in equipment electronics and were generated on the original Leeb block. Thus the measuring results determined with today's devices (within certain tolerance values) with those of the devices delivered since the production start in the year 1975 agree.
